Breech at 37 weeks and keeps turning - C section?

I am looking for anyone who has been in a similar situation as I need to make a decision about the birth of my 3rd baby.
I had both my other children vaginally. This baby was breech until 36 wks, turned last week for 3 days then turned back and is now oblique footling breech. I am reluctant to have an ECV as it is likely she will turn again. I would prefer another natural birth but am becoming increasingly worried about the complications if my waters break and am too worried to just 'wait and see' if she turns by the time labour starts. I am now feeling it would be safer to getbthe baby out by planned CSec at 38 weeks. My sons are 3 and 2 so I am concerned about recovery, although I have a wonderful husband and Mum. The only thing that really matters to me is the safe delivery of my baby. Anybody have any advice?

Tough decision. ALl I can say is that I had an emergency section with my dd. I went through full labour, almost gave birth vaginally, but she was facing the wrong way and they couldn't turn her so had ECS. I was absolutely shattered afterwards and I think it impacted on my overall recovery. My cousin had a planned CS and she recovered much quicker, maybe because she was well rested (as much as you can be when you're the size of a house) beforehand.

What does your midwife/consultant recommend? I totally understand you wanting to avoid a section. If you think you're going to end up having one anyway, I would go for the elective option. Everyone is different though, you do whatever feels right for you.

Good Luck!

Thanks. Had a long chat with dh last night and have kind of come to that conclusion.... Really do not want an emergency section so elective seems like the safest way.... Am seeing consultant today.

Ask the consultant about the possibility of an ECV at 38 weeks followed by an immediate induction. If you'd consider that preferable to a planned section, you may not but its another option. If you've had 2 kids before the chances are you'd respond quickly to prostin so if they put some in after the ECV while baby is head down the chances are baby won't turn in labour.
