Help..... Braxton Hicks

Is it possible to have them non stop for over 12 hours?????

Since about 3 am this morning I have been having what I think are braxton hicks contractions. Very paniful - period type cramps in front and back and hardening of stomache muscles - incredibly painful however they are not regular, but I am having them a lot (over 8 in an hour).

I haven't been able to sleep, only rest, as they keep coming - but like I say they aren't getting any more painful.

Should I be worried????

I have had them regularly since 30 weeks. I am 40 weeks tomorrow and I have had them every hour or so really painful for the past ten nights. Whoever says BH dont hurt has never had the ones I have had!

yeah mine hurt too. i had them every evening for a week before my labours.
it's all your body getting itself ready so i suppose it's a good thing!

fwiw my contractions with ds2 were really irregular. some long, some short, some 2 minute gaps, some 10 minute gaps. that's how i managed to get to 8cm dilated before the midwife arrived Wink

am looking forward to hearing your birth announcement GPPE!!!
