Did you find you were looser 'down there' after having children?

I haven't noticed any difference after 2 babies (3rd on the way), just wondering if this is 'normal' as have seen on another thread that lots of women notice a difference

C section for me so can't say from personnal experiance but have had friends say they certainly feel looser. Pelvic floor exercises everyday! then even if you hav lossened up a little you'll soon be like a young girl again.
You can even get specially pelvic floor exercsing instruments!

No, they sewed things up a bit too tight for comfort, tbh. (They meant well).

nickypomtimes · 21/11/2010 19:41

nope, better here!

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 21/11/2010 19:47

I didn't think I was, but DH kindly let slip the other day that for quite a while after DS's birth there was a distinct echoey feeling Hmm Thanks darling Grin

Apparently it's all back to normal now though, and me too lazy to do pelvic floor exercises too.

naturalbaby · 22/11/2010 15:52

am definately different but could be due to unstitched 2nd degree tear that didn't heal v.well. i'm sure ds2 came flying out witout so much as a push as a result of that - had to push for ages to get ds1 out.
am dreading the outcome of dc3 Sad

At first it feels looser but now it actually feels tighter! :) it's the feeling of the scar I think?

NinkyNonker · 23/11/2010 22:00

No different, DH agrees. Still a little pain from the scar at times, DD nearly 4 months now.

sunndydays · 24/11/2010 07:37

I feel a lot looser, forceps delivery, dd 5 months now :(

Dp kindly says it feels no different but if I feel with my finger it's like a big black hole (sorry tmi) hahaha

notanumber · 24/11/2010 11:40

feels like I suck up half the water up into my fanjo when having a bath these days...

Lizzylou · 24/11/2010 11:44

2 x ventouses and lots of stitches, I am better down there now. DH has noticed.

duchesse · 24/11/2010 11:56

Most definitely looser. First baby was a nearly 9lber and three day labour, and it's never been the same since. I used to be quite tight down there, but no longer. It pisses me off.

Superwoman- been doing pelvic floor exercises for the last 17 years and they have made no difference whatsoever. My only consolation is that at least I don't have stress incontinence like various women I know.

first1 · 24/11/2010 12:51

I'm much tighter to the point gynae consultant gave me dilators :-s

marge2 · 24/11/2010 12:58

why do you think they make the Super plus tampons??

wintersnow · 24/11/2010 16:27

I thought super plus tampons where for a heavier flow... Confused

Oh good god yes. It was like the bloody grand canyon down there!

But I did have two ten and a half pound babies in fifteen months!

Pelvic floor exercises and lots of 'em. It's the only way.

Although I have never managed to be able to do them without pulling a 'trying to hold in a fart' face. So best not done in the checkout queue at Tesco...
