hi im currently 37+6 and saw mw last night who has told me baby is back to back. now i know baby could move between now and labour and could even move during labour but i want to prepare myself for what could happen. ds birth was 21hrs i was fully dilated and pushing for 4 hrs when they decided i needed emcs. this time i would love to give it another go but hospital vbac clinic have said due to risks they wont let me labour for too long so a general rule of thumb is from 3cm i get 1hr ish per cm dilated then 1.5hrs for pushing. ive read that back to back labours are really long winded affairs. am i better off going for the elcs if baby doesnt move instead of a long labour resulting in emcs. what would you do? also have any of you had good back to back experiences?

I would still go for a VBAC (am doing that, 39 weeks today). Just because as you say, the baby could turn into the right position during labour, and it could be fine. I know what you mean because DS was back to back, amongst other things, and I had EMCS, and I know the labours can take longer, but I think it is worth having a go?

A friend of mine had 3 back to back babies, and did not have epidural or anything for any of those. Also, you could have another 4 weeks for the baby to move - check out the spinningbabies.com website that everyone suggests.
