It's 8.5 weeks sice I had a forceps birth with an episiotomy (excuse my spelling),a 2nd degree tear and a bit of coccyx damage.

The long and short of it is I feel like a cavern down below!Blush We have had sex for the first time this week and though it seems ok for him and emotionaly it met my needs for phsyical contact, I am worried that it won't feel as good for him as it used to. I am doing pelvic floor exercises constantly.

I've lost all my confidence and wonder if it will get any better and I will be ale to satisfy my wonderfully supportive partner like I used to.Sad

Sorry to hear you feel rubbish.
It does sound like its more in your head than a physical problem.
Its still very early days. After my episiotomy I found sex painful for about 18 months and even now certain positions can be a little uncomfortable.
Vaginas are designed to streetch for the baby to come out and then come back together (like a concertina) so I doubt its as much of a problem as you are imagining.

Try not to worry, he loves you for who you are!
I think the most important thing is relaxuing and getting your confidence back, the early weeks of Moptherhood can be tumultuous times, wonderful and difficult, be kind to yourself!

please don't worry, most women I know took months to have fulfilling sex and quite a few find sex more pleasurable than before birth! I had a different issue myself, the midwife over-stitched me and I had to have a little reconstructive surgery, my GP was brilliant when I got the courage to ask for help. Give yourself time, like Selina said, and congratulations!
