delaying onset of labour: any tips?

I am 35+2 with twins, and since last night have been having periods of regular strong braxton hicks accompanied by period pain. Now there's been some show. I really want these babies to wait at least until 36 weeks, if not 37. If this is the start of something, is there anything I can do to delay it? Obviously, I will avoid raspberry leaf tea, sex, nipple stimulation :) But anything else?

I thought my contractions had actually started and it was my due date. I was sent home to have a warm bath and they stopped!

Put your feet up and take it easy! Iirc its the pressure of the baby's head on the cervix that releases hormones to start labour so you need to minimize that pressure as much as possible. After having a show it can still be up to two weeks before labour starts so try not to panic about that too much. I hope your babies decide to wait a bit longer, good luck!

No idea except for bed rest. Also my sister was given magnesium but that was much earlier

Good luck

Oh and do keep checking with the docs - twins are often early and it's better to arrive well at 35 plus 2 then wait too long

Am taking it easy :) So far, no further sign of anything, so keeping fingers (and legs!) crossed for a full two weeks until labour. Did go to hospital for monitoring yesterday, and babies are doing fine.
