Hi

anyone else had a WB refused and if so for what reason?

if your waters break prematurely (PROM) does this mean that you can't use a pool at all?

thanks again

It depends on the hospital's policy. Some hospitals are okay with WB in women with early rupture of membranes, GBS, etc, etc - others aren't.

WBs are never guaranteed anyway - the pool may be busy or closed when you want it.

Is this soemthing that has already happened to you or something you're concerned about?

I had a waterbirth (or a water labour I should say - dd got stuck and I eventually had an emcs) although my waters had broken early. I had an antibiotic drip in the whole time. They did say though that it would be up to the midwife who was with me if she was happy to monitor 'this type' of birth, so it may depend where you are.
