Thin lower segment - any midwives able to answer this one?

When I had my second emcs the doctor wrote in my notes that I had a very thin lower segment (not that the scar was thin though). No indication of how thin, but my MW at the time said that your lower segment is meant to thin out in labour (I was pushing when DD2 got into difficulties) and noone has cautioned me against getting pregnant again.
So, what's the deal with the lower segment? Is it normal that it thins out and is that an indication you shouldn't labour next time? (I probably won't labour if I have DC3, but for other reasons).

Thanks

Hi
I've been told by my consultant that due to a very long labour with DS1 it was noted by Emerg Csect consultant that my lower segment is very thin. I'm not sure what complications this involves in early stages of pregnancy, it hasn't caused me any problems & my consultants only concern is the labour. You can actually get your uterus scanned & have the thickness measured & then be given a likelihood of rupture (no nhs hospitals near me do it so would have to go private). I've just been told to report if I feel any tenderness & my labour options are a little more restricted.

Thanks - I suppose I shouldn't really waste time thinking about this stuff since if there is DD3 I will probably have an elective section, but every so often these questions just crop up!

I have this.
After my first section I was just told that would have to have sections in the future, and should not attempt VB. After my second section I was told that if I did want another child I should only have one more, and that the section would need to be done at 36/37 weeks.

So I think that the advice given must depend on how thin the lower segment is?
