Should I take hospital bag on holiday?

I'm going on holiday for a week on friday - go at 35 weeks back at 36 weeks. It's about 4 hours from home and hospital. Should I take a small hospital bag just in case, or not worry until I'm home?

No reason to believe baby will be early as Ds wasn't and pregnancy all going well so far, touch wood. I will take my notes but just wondered if bag was sensible or paranoid!

I probably would, but I like to be overprepared, it stops me panicking (I panic alot). I would also have sussed out where the nearest hospital is and printed maps/phone numbers for it

I would.

I never went anywhere without my notes and then took my bags with me at 37 + 6 for a check up. Didn't take thme with me the next day though when ds was delivered .

I would - and as I am a control freak, I'd probably also put the baby car seat in so that we could get home if there was an early arrival!

(actually neither had I for DC2 - DC1 was late so I didn't bother. DC2 was of course early to spite me!!)

Oh god, car seat? I feel faint at the thought of being that organized. I thought I was being organized just even thinking I might need to do something

Right, will do very small bag of a few bits so I feel vaguely prepared and can hopefully ward off any so-ill-prepared-that-the-baby-is-bound-to-come-early-out-of-spite vibes!
