If first delivery was traumatic, how was your second?

Am screwing up my courage to consider a second pregnancy and would love to hear inspirational stories. However, I do want both sides so don't hold back if second delivery was traumatic also!

The first was completely traumatic - 48 hours + with ambulance dash from one hospital to another in the middle (involving speed ramps - ouch). Second was a breeze in comparison - a mere 10 hours with just gas and air.

First birth pre eclampsia, induction, heart rate problems, lost bloods, etc- second took a while (40 plus hours) but was gentle, a wonderful experience with aromatherapy by the midwives and massage where I felt really supportive and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Much, much better. They usually are. Email me. I've written about this.
