His joke, not mine

Do they let partners into the pool with you in which case I guess he needs trunks and a towel?

Anything else we might want to take?

Some places do let your parter in, some don't. DH packed his as I wasn't sure if I was going to want him in or not. In some of the DVDs of waterbirths I saw it looked nice to have DH/DP in at least in the early stages, he would have probably jumped out quick smartish if any poos started floating past.

Haribo and sports drinks, it could be a long haul.

i think they are allowed in but yes he will need trunks and a towel.

i had ds4 in a pool at hospital and tbh the pool wasnt THAT big so my 6ft dp would have found it a bit of a squeeze and i am only 5 2 and dont take up loads of room! and i dont think i actually wanted him in the pool, it did get suggested but i had him right by the side of the pool and i kind of lent of him and helf onto his arms as he lent over the side of the pool and that was fine but then i like my personal space when in labour.

you may need to check with your hospital what their policy is, but as far as i know they are allowed in

i would suggest a change of clothes just in case although i spent some time in the pool I actually gave birth on dry land for a number of reasons.

During labour my waters broke on dh's feet soaking his socks and jeans, then when the cord was cut one of the blood vessels splurted everywhere all over his shirt (caught the midwife too)

Hopefully yours won't be quite so messy but you never know!
