My dc is on CAMHS wait list and we have an appointment for a local private child psychiatrist which is not til July.
ive looked on psychiatry uk but no appointments seem to be available.

Can anyone recommend any other options?

I went off some recommendations from here (I posted for urgent) and some I’d found online, then asked the psychiatrist’s secretaries for their own recommendations of a colleague when I got a response that they were full or whatever.
Yes it is quite crushing to encounter a waitlist again when you’re going to pay but there were very few that could do immediate.

I think we were seen within 3 weeks with London Psychiatry Clinic.
But there seems to be more demand than supply unfortunately

I would be careful not to mention the private appointment to CAMHS if you decide to stick on their waiting list. They refused to see my daughter because I couldn't see her surviving the 9 month waiting list and I paid for private counselling instead. They said they can't see anyone who is having alternative care and they wouldnt even add her to the waiting list unless the private counsellor made the referral and gave a full written handover of her methods and what had been discussed. It's an absolute disgrace.

We went through The Priory.

I used clinical partners for two separate needs for my DS and was thoroughly impressed both times.

Used Clinical Partners as well, they were very thorough, very kind and very helpful.

The Priory is great! We went private and I couldn’t fault it, had a lovely physiatrist. My son was 11 when we first went.

You can search the BUPA listings for practices near you and then contact directly. Echo what is said about about not saying to the NHS that you have care arranged as they will then not do anything. For us, this has meant we can’t get support for medication side effects through our GP as they can only support if CAHMS is involved.
