Drug use in custody case

Would you consider drug testing adolescents using hair, what would be a fair price?

In what context? Is the adolescent the child who's custody is being disputed in court?

On what legal basis could drug testing be ordered?

A fair price would be the same price as testing costs for adults but I struggle to see a circumstance in a custody dispute that testing a child would be necessary or is the adolescent a parent?

If there are concerns that a child has been exposed to drugs while in the care of an adult, then social services can arrange hair strand testing

Why?

This is a bit simplistic - if it's a family court issue then social services are not necessarily involved and if OP is claiming the child has been exposed to drugs enough to show in their hair during contact it's likely that if a test was ordered the father would be ordered to pay for it, or share costs. Not sure why you think social services would be obliged to stump up £700 for a hair strand test in a contact dispute. Even in cases that are open to us, I've never in my long career seen a child be drug tested to test for exposure by a parent.
