My boy is a natural panicker. He's 15 now, he's always been like this and he never seems to get better at handling crises.
When I say crises í mean very minor things like accidentally letting the chickens out or breaking a glass. He just goes into total panic mode and loses his head.
Anyone would think I'm really harsh or something but I'm genuinely not. So I don't understand why he acts like this and never seems to improve no matter how calm I am about it.

Is he having panic attacks? Have you been to the gp to discuss anxiety/ panic disorder? What has been done to help him cope with crisis’s? he’s unlikely to just stop acting like this at 15 without any help.

It's not a panic attack. I know what they are and it's definitely not the same.

Panic attacks can manifest very differently for different people, it’s essentially really intense and sudden anxiety which it sounds like he is having. Either way it’s still worth getting him some support, therapy and medication could help him manage his emotions and cope with minor crisis’s.
