As parents and caregivers supporting your children’s mental health, I would like to gather perspectives on what is most needed in this area. Specifically, I'm interested in the following:

  1. Types of Support: What kinds of support do parents and carers feel are essential for addressing children's mental health?
  2. Resources: What resources—such as books, websites, workshops, or helplines—have been most helpful or are currently lacking for parents and caregivers navigating their children's mental health challenges?
  3. Topics of Interest: Are there specific topics or issues related to children's mental health that you would like to learn more about? This could range from anxiety management to coping strategies, or understanding developmental milestones.
  4. Barriers and Challenges: What barriers do parents and carers encounter when seeking support or resources for their children's mental health?
Your insights will be invaluable. Thank you for your input!đź’ť

Why do you want the information? Are you a student collecting data? A health care professional looking to expand your practice/ professionalism? A parent asking for help?

Hello there, hope you're well. The answer to your question is a bit of both, professionally and personally (it's my work but it's also people in my life). I asked this question as recently I have been approached by numerous individuals and their loved ones seeking guidance on several topics associated with mental health (e.g. challenging behaviour, sensory needs, virtual autism, ARFID, nutrition, social medias addiction, school anxiety, autism). In response to this need, I'm sharing what I know to support those who face these challenges. I'm a curious person by nature always looking to expand my toolbox with new solutions and strategies. And throughout my professional journey, I have discovered that the most effective strategies and valuable insights come from the experiences of parents, caregivers, and dedicated professionals rather than by the book approaches. After talking and listening to thousands of parents, carers, siblings, I dedicated myself to collaborating with them to develop resources that empower all children to find their voices and learn in ways that suit their unique needs and abilities. This is why I would greatly appreciate as much input as possible on what is truly needed. I hope this provides clarity regarding my intentions, and I would be glad to hear your thoughts on this as well. Thank you and have a great day.
