Children in school call my child (14 years old) an ‘op’. They don’t know what this means and neither do I. Any ideas?

She's going to have the last laugh then - she just needs to hold on to that.

Poor girl, what are the school doing to address the bullying
imnotgoodenoughtobehere · 26/02/2024 16:51
Tbh, this is nothing compared to what she’s been through. School haven’t done anything for far worse. Children now seem to hate those that do well and are quiet. They become a target.

Is this all in the same school?
How old is she?
Can you move her?
I was bullied horribly at school and wish my parents had thought to move me.

Easier option but the bullies should move
In my days, you did not have the teachers caring
I was bullied as I'm not white and I was one of the
two in my class from another country, different colour to
the majority
It was the time of the NF and my so-called mates gradually turned their attention from the Irish lad to me and often called me a P and a lot worse even though we are not from that country.
Towards the final year I skipped classes to avoid the bullies got beat up a few times - I did not tell anyone - it was a nightmare. I did stand up to one who walked inout my classes (5th yr at school chosen subjects) and called me names, the teacher had not arrived - the bully was will a lacky - I stood up and got pushed down, No one supported me. Thankfully the other kids did not laugh.
I often think what I'd do if I ever met them, but then again people like that are often fit as they have no worries etc
School life is harder as bullies follow the victims into their home 24/7 via smartphones
Sadly, some of the bullies so-called parents, single parents, step-parents, boy/girlfriends are nasty vermin,.
Not sure what the answer is
Btw - over the 2 years of hard core bullying, I even stopped having school dinners - those days there were no packed lunches so o the bus, home for 10 mins, mum had food ready and back to school and 3 times out of 5, a few minutes late.
(I wish I'd learned the art of self defence, not sure why I did not, possibly because not as many oppuitiutes around at the time)
Good luck OP

That’s awful, I’m sorry for the way you were treated. 😔 I think that finding positives, e.g, it has made you a stronger person is the way you need to look at it.
