I'm new to this because i just received a letter from my DS school about he could benefit from Lego therapy. he does not have ASD, ASC or ADHD but has recently been going through a bit of bullying at school which in turn started to affect his confidence and social interaction at school, could this be why? - I should mention that at home DS is very confidence and also in social circles outside school

The great thing about lego therapy is, when run well, it can be used to target so many different skills and competencies. Yes it could absolutely be used to support your child's confidence and to build collaboration and communication with his peers. However, I feel that the school should have explained why they have suggested it for him - why not ask?

@ElliesMum16 yes they did in the letter. they said to help him build more confidence and improve his interaction with his peers. they did not mention anything about ADHD or ASD as he is a typical child but just recently had issues with bullying at school. It's just that when I read about LEGO therapy, there was too much talk on google about ASD and ADHD and not much on the fact that it can be used for other things like building confidence at school

Ah ok I thought you were just guessing. Lego therapy is definitely not just for neurodivergent kids (although that is how it started). Kids love it!

Is this just playing with Lego, or is it more involved?

Much more involved! It's a carefully planned and structured program.

No worries - google is a blessing and a curse!

Not just for neurodivergent children. It is brilliant for social interaction.
My son does it and I really rate it.
If you are getting the opportunity, go for it.
