Support for parents

You all seem so kind and concerned about your children’s problems. My daughter is 19 and was always very different to my other children from when she was a toddler. At school she was unable to make friends and clearly unhappy, was rude unpleasant and disruptive at home. As she got older she went to therapy which she did not like and therefore stopped going to and eventually was diagnosed with anxiety and depression and prescribed sertraline which helped her get through her exams.
My question is this, I know she finds life difficult and it must be awful, but at this stage I can’t help but wonder if there is support for the parents. She is unlikeable and argumentative and I know she is unhappy which breaks my heart but I simply dread her coming home (she’s away at uni) If this was a physical illness I would of course help her but mental illness is so difficult to deal with because in my case she just keeps pushing me away with her dreadful attitude and I feel like I have had years of this and now I have had enough.

Local carers group, local send parents groups, your own therapist?

MH helplines, such as mind's, will support you as well as those suffering the problems.
