Recently been struggling with my DD. She was in hospital in October for an attempt and luckily hasn’t attempted since. She has mentioned she has thought about it since and has had plans. CAMHS gave us some counselling service numbers however it didn’t do anything for her. I suspect she didn’t open up to them as her school counsellor said the same previously. Recently found out she had been taking zopiclone that wasn’t prescribed to her to sleep and that she has been feeling like she did in October for a while. GP sent her to counselling which she said didn’t help. I can’t afford private at the minute. Any tips? Sad

She also refused ADs when the GP offered.

I feel for you 💐
My dd is 17 and took a paracetamol overdose a couple of weeks ago, luckily she's okay but she's still suffering from very low mood. She was on the waiting list for camhs when she took the OD, they came to see her in hospital but nothings been done as yet,
She goes to sleep late at night which doesn't help as the low mood is worse at night and she hears her voice in her head telling her to do it again.
She's engaged with all the services camhs recommended and has found one that helps, but for now we have to wait for Camhs.
I feel she'll be 18 by the time she gets to the top of the list (11 months away)

What about anti depressants? Have they been tried? Can be very helpful

Oh. Just seen that. That's a pity as they do help
