How can I help my daughter to understand her friend who has Aspergers ?

My dd (10) has a friend, they are actually close friends but dd has difficulties to understand why her friend needs extra help at school, why she is crying so often, why she is always anxious etc... Apparently, it came to a head yesterday and Dd was not very nice to her friend. I have talked to the mum of dd's friend and she told she was upset, that her dd's was upset because my dd and her friends were not nice to her dd. I have asked her if I could explain my dd that her dd has asperger and she agree to it. Is there any literature that could help me ? I don't want to mess it up !

There is a great little book called All Cats Have Asperger's which I have found very useful not only in helping my dds understand their diagnoses but also in helping others understand.

Ds's best friend has aspergers and he liked Rules by Cynthia Lord. It's about a 12 yo girl whose brother has aspergers.
