Over past 12 months, DD 15 run away, self harmed, attempted suicide, 3 months on psychiatric ward, violent towards me and her dad. She is attending Camhs centre 3 days a week. Am exhausted, feel powerless and useless to help- DD resisting all attempts to help and refusing medication. Love her dearly but desperately need break. Any suggestions? Please

Don't know where you are, I have just stopped working from an entirely unrelated career, but my first was with boys of a similar age (16-19) and a similar set of issues. If you happen to be local to me (Gloucestershire), I'd be happy to at least be around for you and it could mean you would feel comfortable enough to have a break... probably not the answer you're hoping for

Respite is like gold dust. You need to call SS and ask for an assessment.
There is alot of teenage support services, have a look in your area.
Maybe kids?
