My chicken has just been put to sleep

She had a black comb and the vet said it was a sign of a lack of oxygen in the blood which was a sign of something else. There wasn't much hope for her so she's gone. They are going to do an autopsy and let us know what they find.

Mmm she hasn't rung me though. She was quite young, I'm wondering whether she was a student vet. She did say she'd discussed it with whoever was the poultry expert at the practice. Poor Peckatron.
