Dopey has a bleeding foot

Any thoughts on stopping the other horrible hens pecking her to bits? I shut her up in the house today, will let the others in when it gets darker. I've also ordered some wound powder and gentian violet spray which won't come till Monday.

Any thoughts? I could put her in a rabbit hutch tonight, but it would stress her out.

It really depends on the size of this house that this lady has - if it's not big enough then I'll get a White Star, if it's ok then I might go for 2....

As of yesterday, I have 21 chickens. I is needing a beeeg house now.

tortoiseSHELL - I don't live in the country, just an ordinary suburban semi, we only have a medium size garden, I keep the neighbours happy with free eggs!

We are the same, I just wish I could have LOTS of chickens - we have 4 atm, going to get another 1 or 2 next week - but I REALLY want a big field with a goat, and lots of chickens!
