What scraps/titbits do you give to your chickens?

New chicken keeper on a steep but enthisiastic learning curve here :)

So far our chicken has loved chopped apple, butternut squash, toast crusts, lemon balm leaves, grass, salad/dandelion/cabbage leaves, broccoli.

What do you give your chickens?
Can they eat mushrooms?

Jelly. The only thing that mine have refused.

Just gave mine a banana - they are now wiping their beaks on a twig with disgust. I bet it's still gone by lunchtime, though. They are potato fiends, and great corn on the cob lovers. Once we've finished the cobs I sling them over into their run and within a few minutes they're picked clean. Their favourite past-time is hanging around the long grass catching flies...

Mine get everything apart from meat. They love cooked rice and chips. If don't like it won't eat it. Had no problems. And eggs are fab x

Mine won't eat raw broccoli but apart from that, they'll devour anything that goes in. I save all the leftover toast, cereals in the morning and tip it all in to them. Gone in 60 seconds (if that!). Pasta is a fave, but anything that's left on our plates they'll give a go.

It's great that they recycle!

Only just found this thread - its given me some great idea's

I tend to stick to sweetcorn or lettuce and occasionally bread

Pasta; spaghetti is amusing, rice, rice crispies, greens, pears, melon, sweet corn, strawberry stalks, tomato ends, tuna, grapes
Never tried yoghurt or porridge will try next time :)

All the kitchen waste except chicken :)

I feed my chickens the dead chickens in my farm.
