House extension how long?

Hello,

wondering if anyone can shed some light on the above? We have submitted our plans and typically our council takes about 8-12 weeks. We’re in the process of trying to find a builder. Can anyone who’s done a 2 storey extension with a loft conversion tell me a rough timeline on start to finish? Or even start to water tight?

we have a semi detached with a garage on the side and converting side and wraparound the back. Along with an extra 2 bedrooms upstairs with en-suite and another 2 beds with en-suite in the loft?

panicking because I have 4 young kids and not sure if I’m mental even starting this…

We are in a similar boat… have been quoted 4-6 months for the shell and first fix.
