Changing bags

Cool bag with ice pack for taking baby bottles out and about

My little one is formula fed. I’m finding it difficult to find a cool bag with ice pack that is compact enough to fit in my changing bag for one or max two tall Dr Brown bottles.
What did you use to keep your baby milk bottles cool when out for the day?

Could you take pre made cartons instead? Or have a coolbag that is separate from the changing bag

Unfortunately not as he is on a prescription milk for Cow Milk Protein Allergy which doesn’t have a ready made version 😕

I think I will have to just have a separate cool bag! It would have been nice to have something to fit in my changing bag - purely for convenience only!

Thanks x

We have a picnic rucksack from Homesense which is a cool bag with pockets inside for ice packs (the slim ones). You could put the bottles at the bottom and then put nappies and stuff on top? What I used to do was take a flask of boiled water and make the bottles up fresh so you don’t need to worry about keeping anything cool

I've got a pacapod changing bag which has a pod for changing and one cool bag pod that fits bottles. You can buy the pods separately if they'd fit in your bag. Though for the price an insulated lunch bag might be best!

Is there anything like the thermal bottle bags that would fit your bottles? The thermal bags will also keep it cool if packed cool.

Could you take a small flask of hot water and some pots of measured out formula? I use a 500ml Sistema stainless flask and it keeps the water hot for 6 hours. Most coffee shops etc are more than happy to let me have cold water to bring the baby's bottle down to the correct temp for feeding once I make the feed up.
