New clutch biting point very low after replacement, is this normal?

my aygo had an extremely high biting point, pretty much sat higher than my brake and needed replacing as was starting to slip. I’ve had it replaced and the biting point is so low. Like ridiculously low, stalled the whole way home. Is this normal? I know I’ve got used to an extremely high clutch. Do I just need to
drive a bit and wear it in? Thanks

Depends what you mean by ridiculously low, but yes the biting point will be lower, as the friction material is thicker, so will be closer to the flywheel.

As you’ve driven it, assumption is it goes into gear fine.

High biting point is a symptom of a worn clutch. Biting point will always be lower on a new clutch. Sounds like you just need to get used to it.
