Best EV for 4 kids and a dog

Hi all, first time poster and looking for some ideas / help.

My partner and I just found out we are expecting twins which was unexpected and it a bit daunting! I already have two kids (one 5 and in a high backed booster, one 10 no longer in a carseat). We also have a medium-large dog.

I am due to change my company car at roughly the time the twins are due early next year, so have started thinking about what might suit us. As it's a company car, I am limited to EV's only. I cannot choose an ICE or hybrid.

Is anyone else in a similar situation? What do you have and how do you find it?

It looks like we will need to compromise somewhere as without getting an electric van (which are generally expensive, poor on range and not great to drive/look at) it doesn't look like there is anything out there that is big enough to fit us all, plus have space for a double buggy and the dog.

The easy compromise is the dog - if we want to go out as a full family to walk him we can take our second car as those journeys are likely to be pretty local.

Where we cant compromise is boot space as we need to be able to fit a doubly pram, whilst having 4 kids plus 2 adults in the car.

We have started to looked at things like the Kia EV9, VW Buzz, Peugeot e-5008. At face value they all look like they may be able to do the job but it would be good to hear some any other large families with EV's. We will be borrowing a pram to take to test any cars that make the shortlist.

Thanks all :)

P.s. Unless there really are no viable options then buying our own car doesn't make sense due to the tax advantages on a company provided EV. Plus, I would need a fairly large deposit that I dont have as we just move house.

We only have 2 DC but a large dog and we have a Tesla Y, I don't think that would do for you though
A friend has the Kia 9 (I think) and its a huge 7 seater and looks really nice, good range too

Thanks - I currently have the Tesla model 3 and actually wanted the model Y until we found out we were having twins. There is talk of the 7 seat variant coming soon but as of yet it isn't available.

In terms of general day to day convenience and ease of driving, anything other than a Tesla will be a step down but needs must I think.

I actually leased a 3 to see how we got on with electric and I loved it but we really needed the Y for space
Before buying we looked at a LOT of electric cars but kept coming back to Tesla, this was 2 years ago though so I am sure other manufacturers have moved on

Yes we have had the m3 for 3.5 years and it has been great but it’s due to go back in the new year. We also have a Renault megane electric which is fine as a small run around. I have no worries with EV’s, but am struggling with what will work for us size wise with the new twins too.

Not sure about the ID Buzz, but if the Kia EV9 doesn't have enough boot space (it also has a very high floor to the boot, which can become quite trying) then you're really stuck with a Stellantis van.

The Citroën e-SpaceTourer, Peugeot e-Traveller, Vauxhall Vivaro Life Electric and the Toyota ProAce Verso are all the same vehicle. They are based on the EMP2 platform so are quite car-like to drive and mechanically quite robust (lots of data from van fleets on despatch reliability), and from the driver's seat you can look down into Range Rovers too if you're into that sort of thing. They are very spacious, have isofix on all six seats in the second and third row, and are low enough to fit into underground car parks with 1.9m height restrictions. Sliding doors also useful in narrow spaces!

I would have bought one if they were still available with a diesel engine as the basic vehicle is really good, but the electric drivetrain is widely panned for poor range, is not especially powerful, and the price is eyewatering.
