Family Car for a petite driver

Looking for some advice. I currently drive a Fiat Grande Punto it’s super old (2009) and starting to rack up garage bills. Considering getting a new car but at a bit of a loss where to start.

im 5 foot 2 so would like a car that’s adjustable. Drove partners Qashqai last week and it just felt way too big and I didn’t feel like I had a good view of the road.

Other context I would like a slightly bigger engine Punto struggled with hills. Want a bigger car but not too big want to be able to park easily and live in a rural location so helpful to be able to squeeze in tight gaps.

Have 2 children 4 & 6 would like a third but not a definite and figure six year old could sit in front if needs be with a booster. Haven’t worked out logistics. If travelling as a family we tend to go in Qashqai.

What cars should I look at? Does anyone have any recommendations

Polo?

I'm the same height, I had an abarth and now have a Kia ceed. It's adjusts to my height no problem and comes with parking sensors so easy to park and manoeuvre. I drive on country lanes a lot as well and not had a problem. It's no where near as fun as my abarth but a lot comfier inside and more practical!

Current car doesn’t have parking sensors or air con and would love both of those features 😀

I’m same height and we had a VW Touran for years. Really nice to drive and no problem with adjusting seat or the width of it (think it’s similar to a golf in width) and I don’t like big cars.

I'm the same height and I find Asian brands are much more comfortable. I have a Toyota Yaris Cross that I'm happy with and I used to have a Subaru Forester which I absolutely loved.

In European cars I always feel like I don't have good visibility, the seats are too big for my legs and my back starts to hurt eventually.

I’m 5ft. I have a qashqai and a booster seat. DH has a golf and the seat goes fairly high

Watching. Our current car is awful for this. I’m 5’3 and have to sit on a booster cushion even with the seat fully up and forward, or I can’t see. Should have test driven 🤦‍♀️

Our previous car was a Golf and that was good

Skoda. We've had Octavia and Superb in various models. Good adjustment that doesn't put my head too close to the windscreen and sun visor.
We also had an astra and focus which were fine, but not as good as the Skodas.

My previous car was a golf estate, then my dd had it - we’re 5’1-5’2”. It was good, had all round sensors and loads of carrying space but not ‘fat’ like a lot of cars seem to be nowadays.
now we have Toyota Corollas, touring sport so almost exactly the same size as the golf was - they do a hatch too of course. They’re good too, have reversing cameras. The hybrid engines are great.

I am 5 foot 1 and drive a kia picanto. I love it. Not too expensive if you get them a few years old. very fuel efficient (I drive 220 miles a week and it costs me about £38 in 6-ish days). They feel like a big car on the inside. 2 kids in the back is fine. 3 would be too small IMO.

Try a VW T-Cross, or WV T-ROC, roomy without too much bulk. They have excellent safety features.

I'm under 5' and the best family sized car for me was the Honda CRV. The seat was so adjustable annd visability was good.

Vw id4 or Tiguan

I love our vw Id4 as im short and dh is tall and we only have one car. So we chose the electric seats and they have memory for positions so we both can move seats back or higher with one button.

It’s a workhorse also. Fits 3 adults in back, large boot, and fine in snow. The heating and air con is really good. And range great
