High back booster recommendations for a car with a low roof

We're looking to replace high back boosters in grandparents car - they currently have two Joie Traver, however the head rests are restricted from extended by the car roof being low in the rear seats. Can anyone suggest a seat that fits in cars with a low roof? And that is properly crash tested.

The car is a Mercedes A220D 2021

The role of the car seat at that age is to lift the child up so they are in the right position for the seatbelt. So I think any model will be lifting the child up a very similar amount - though it won't be making the child any taller overall than an average adult. As to the top bit with the 'wings' either side of the child's head, that is usually adjustable in height and you set it up about the same height as the kids head. So if the kids head fits in, the top bit should fit in as well. So basically assuming an adult can fit in the back, I would expect the vast majority of seats would work. But often you can drive to a baby centre and try their demo models in your own car then and there?

Thank you- I haven't seen the seats with the headrests extended but I've been told theyre restricted by the low roof (I think its possibly the edges that are particularly low) so the kids shoulders don't fit comfortably in the seats. I suspect the base is maybe a little too thick for the car.
Both kids are about 1.2 - 1.3m tall.

I'm going to have a look at the seats tonight and see if we can work out what's going on

It's a common issue with smaller cars. Take the car to a shop to find out if there are any high back boosters which will fit properly with the headrest extended. If not, a backless booster is usually the best solution and is OK if the DC is over 125cm tall. If the younger one is not quite there yet, try putting their booster in the middle seat for now.

Thank you- I'm going to suggest my dad goes to mamas and papas to get some advice - theyre the closest experts according to the Internet.
Sadly we have two DC so they couldn't go in the middle

Mercedes have a child safety section on their web site where you put in the car and see what is recommended from their child seats. Then I’d try and find a similar but cheaper version.

It looks like the Mercedes branded high back booster seats are Britax Kidfix M i-size.

However that doesn't necessarily mean that they will be able to be extended fully at the sides of the car.

Axkid Up can be adjusted downwards so that the booster itself isn't boosting the child up so high. But IMO they are incredibly expensive for a booster seat.

This is supposed to be a small family car. If Merc recommend seats they should fit.
