I’m going away in a couple of weeks and we have a 20 minute transfer in a minibus from the airport to the hotel. It’s such a short transfer I don’t want to take our bulky erf seats, but also don’t want to go without. I’ve bought a bubblebum for our 4 year old, but was also looking at the cybex solutions g2. But I’m really stressing about my 2yr4month old. What to do?! I’ve seen the maxi cosi nomad but the reviews don’t seem great. He’s 14kg and 92cms. Any suggestions?!

Joie Tilt or Graco Extend R129 perhaps? They are still bulky but they are only about 6kg, which is light for a RF car seat.

If you are happy with forward facing then Maxi Cosi Nomad would be reasonable. Or Cosatto on the Go looks good if you can find out whether the minibus has isofix and top tether.

There is an inflatable RF car seat (Nachfolger) but it's very expensive and hard to find now.

At his age though, is he even guaranteed his own seat? Some transfer companies would expect him to sit on an adult's lap.

Omg, I’ve just realised I’ve got the graco extend as a spare, I could take that. I’m an idiot 🤣.

would the bubblebum be suitable for a 4 year old? She’s 19.55kg and 108cms. Pretty sure I don’t have a hidden car seat for her this time.

It's not ideal at 4 and I wouldn't use it as an everyday seat, but it's much better than nothing.
