Does anyone have this car seat, we can't for the life of us figure out how to install it! The info online or the manual isn't very helpful

Thanks!

Do you have a photo of the seat or the manual or a more specific model name please? I can probably find a better set of instructions for you.

OK brill thanks.

It's one of these type ones, which is handy because this video is really easy to follow:

On second thoughts having looked more closely at the manual - it's really unclear there.

The diagram showing all the parts of the seat shows the circular/oval holes, like the seats Margaret shows in the video, and labels them "Passage of seat belt".

However the set of diagrams in the instructions as to how to fit the seat seem to ignore the circular holes entirely, and refer to some kind of slot in the base of the seat, which would make it impossible to use the circular holes in the way shown in the video.

The shape and general fit of the seat definitely fit the pattern of car seats which are fitted the video way. And it doesn't have any belt lockoffs, which are usually present when a different seatbelt path is used. I'm actually concerned that the fit shown in the manual doesn't seem to have any way of securing the belt at all, so the seat will be very loose and not safe.

Honestly, this is very strange. I've read a LOT of car seat manuals and I have very rarely seen one as contradictory as this.

If I needed to make an educated guess, I'd do it the way as shown in the video, but I can't recommend that with confidence, because going against the manual is never recommended. It might be worth contacting The Nursery Store's customer service to see if they can clarify, though my concern there is that they won't actually know the answer because these seats are designed and made by another company, they just market them.

Do you need to use the seat urgently?

Yeah I thought about emailing them for a better video/guide.
It's not urgent, it's my mum's for when she has my son which isn't a lot and she can use ours for now, but just very annoying!! X

I think I'd try to clarify with the company. If you end up needing to change it for something else, there is a very good offer on the Graco Extend LX right now which is £70 in Boots or on amazon. Or if you specifically need a Group 123 seat, Graco Eldura is a similar price.

My mum's done it now! Thank you for all your help.
I'm after a new one soon as he's almost outgrew ours, so any recommendations are appreciated! Think I'll avoid puggle lol

The models I gave in the last post are more budget friendly but not necessarily what I'd recommend otherwise. Although if LO is only just growing out of the first baby seat, I would strongly recommend you keep them rear facing for now even in your mum's car. Although those seats are sold from 9 months it's not safe to forward face at 9 months old.

How old is LO, what's their height/weight (if you're not sure exactly, if you can just say big/small/average for age) and what kind of seat do you have currently?
