Need a new car seat!

Good morning people!
I’m in need of a new car seat for my 9 month old, she hasn’t outgrown her infant carrier but starting to look for next stage seats!

It becomes a little tricky because the seat needs to be isofix (we have tried and can’t get tethers under my drivers side, my seat won’t go far back enough for me to drive) and i want it to be swedish plus tested…

Our first daughter has the britax romer m safeway and we love it, i really wanted the same seat but it just can’t happen.

Our second girl is a little dot so height/weight limits aren’t a problem right now.
Does anybody have any recommendations for SPT but isofix? I have tried her in the Joie i-spin safe but don’t really like how she looks seated, she looks far too dipped into the seat even with the inserts in!

I know some people will signpost to the Facebook group but i don’t have Facebook and also don’t like what ive been shown there 😂

Have you looked into tether loops? They attach the the rails and shouldn’t affect the seat moving back. If you need a compact seat then something the Axkid Minikid Pro or Max, or the Avionaut Sky could work if she’s low centiles. If you’re set on isofix then the Axkid One could work, although more expensive.

Axkid Spinkid is on offer, I've just seen on FB. Or Britax Swingfix is worth a look if you like Britax seats. I don't really like the Joie Spin Safe. The Joie seats are great if you need cheap but they have compromises, and the Spin Safe isn't cheap so the compromises aren't worth it. The inserts are a pain and there is hardly any leg room later on.

TBH if she is 9 months and small for her age, she might struggle to get a good fit in any seat from 61cm. You will be best waiting until she is 76cm+ to see how she looks then.

If you have two children and already have a 125cm limit seat then I don't think you necessarily need a second one. Presumably by the time the youngest outgrows the isofix seat, they could move into the Britax as the eldest will have moved into a high back booster.

Look at the new Avionaut Stardust. Rear facing until 125cm/21kg then can be used as a high backed booster. The current 360 model isn’t SPT, but the non 360 version that’s due to come out will be, so there’s no reason to think the current one wouldn’t pass when used rear facing. That way it can be used by your eldest when HBB ready and the youngest can move to the Britax.

Seconding the suggestion for the metal tether loops. They make the tethers an actual dream to attach and took about 20 mins to fit. Opens up lots of choices for you.

Thank you all so much!
I would love her to have the same seat as my eldest, so going to look into the tether loops.
I did ask about them when we went to see some seats and the woman at the shop said that they needed to be welded to the rails and would still be no good for my car but videos seem to show different! 🤔
