Cybex Cloud T Plus & Avionaut Pixel Pro 2.0 compatibility with strollers Cybex/Joolz/Nuna?

I plan to buy the Cybex Eezy S Twist+2 stroller online. Unfortunately no stores I have visited/contacted keep it on display for me to test so I'll have to order it online towards my due date in case I want to return it. I am going to buy the Cloud T Plus car seat with it but I've been reading some reviews that people found the Cybex S Line adaptors weak and that it felt unsafe putting the car seat on to the stroller. Anyone else experience this?

I was also interested in the Avionaut Pixel Pro 2.0 car seat but I can't find any information to confirm that the Cybex Eezy S Twist+2 has stroller adaptors that allow you to fit the two together?

If I don't like the Cybex Eezy S Twist+2 stroller I will return it and either go for the Joolz Aer+ or the Nuna Swiv. I found this link (https://joolz-pdf-manuals.s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/Car+seat+compatibility/Joolz+-+POS+-+Car+Seat+Compatibility+Overview+-+INT.pdf) which shows which car seats fit with Joolz Aer+ and it seems either will work.

I read the Nuna stroller adaptors can take various brands of car seats but are hush about this. Based on my research it will take either the Cybex or the Avionaut car seat. Will this mean the Avionaut could fit on the Cybex stroller after all?

Reading about strollers and car seat compatibility is so overwhelming. It would be easier if they introduced a rule that all car seat adaptors should be universal!

Yes it should as they are all the same kind, the ones you're talking about anyway.

99% of car seat adapters are universal. That's the way the market is in the UK/Europe. It used to be there were separate ones for each brand, with the one that is widely used now originally being a Maxi Cosi adapter, but slowly most of them changed. Any new brands trying to break into the market (as Avionaut have) tend to adopt the Maxi Cosi type because almost every single pram brand makes one so it gives you the widest compatability. Britax was the last major brand to change from their own adapter to the Maxi Cosi type one (which is now the universal). Silver Cross I think is really the only outlier left, possibly some of the cheaper brands who don't market their car seats separately, like Ickle Bubba.

I bet if you join one of the car seat FB groups they will have someone who has used the Avionaut on the Cybex Eezy S Twist. They are obsessed with Avionaut seats on there.

Ah thanks for explaining!

It's confusing with Cybex showing all these different adaptors on their website according to the type of stroller you're using. They really make it seem as if their strollers can only take their own branded car seats (which I understand so they can benefit from the sale).

I'll join the FB page you mentioned, hopefully someone paired the Avionaut with a Cybex Eezy stroller. I did so much research before narrowing down the strollers I was interested in so I really wanted to make sure I didn't end up getting an incompatible car seat.

I can confirm that the Nuna Swiv adaptors take other car seats not just Nuna, we use the Maxi Cosi Pebble 360 with the Nuna Swiv no problem. I actually bought them all together in a travel package from a store which was reassuring.

John Lewis won’t tell you and it’s not official but they do work with the adaptors.

BTW we really love the SWIV - I would recommend this. It looks very high end with the carbon fibre and baby has loved it. She loved the bassinet and has switched to the pushchair at 4 months and is even more comfortable in that. And the space underneath is really sturdy and can hold heaps of stuff. Looking at the cybex you mentioned the Swiv is definitely better on lots of counts (adjustable hand rail, bigger basket capacity etc).

One thing to note is that it’s only one hand fold once you have the pushchair rather than the bassinet, so for the first few months when you’re using the bassinet you do have to take it off to get into boot which was a bit of a hassle, but such a short time in overall use of the pram and only an issue if you’re in and out of car a lot with the bassinet.

Also we have have used the SWIV feature way more than we thought! I assumed it was a gimic but it’s actually been great in cafes etc to Tetris the pram into tight spots.

This is the thing, by ordering the Cybex stroller online it will be very annoying if I end up hating it. I guess I just liked how compact and affordable it is and I watched a lot of youtube reviews, but I won't know if I like until I try it.

When I tested the Nuna Swiv in John Lewis I liked how easy it was to push around, fold down and lift to put into a car, out of nowhere it was on my list lol. I didn't get to test the bassinet feature though.

I need to be able to use the stroller between hilly Yorkshire and London so something that I can easily take on the train also would be good. There is this temptation to go straight for the Nuna because it may be a more reliable brand.

The top end of the adapters are the universal part which take all the different brand car seats.

The bottom end of them is unique to the model of pram/stroller so you need to get the right kind there.

If you're looking at American sites be aware they have totally different car seats there and they still have different (car seat side) adapters for different brands, even some brands which we have here.

Personally the most important Youtube reviews to look at are Stroller Workshop. Because they do repairs they point out any longevity issues and real-life use issues with the model and their technical knowledge helps a lot. A lot of other reviews are often either by someone who has only just got the buggy so doesn't have any experience of what it's like long term, and/or they have been paid to endorse it, or they haven't had many other buggies so they don't have anything to compare it to. They might still have some useful tips but nothing compares to trying it out in person.

@LoyalFairy I live in London and have found it great for trains and strolling around London streets, uneven pavements, up hills in parks etc. I also like the SWIV vs the TRIV as its basket is bigger and holds more (maybe 14kg?). I definitely use the basket capacity in day to day life. There are lots of people with the Yoyo around here but it looks so small to me? With the SWIV I can for e.g., get a picnic blanket and food along with her changing bag and my own handbag in the basket which just seems way more useful for life and probably for yours too if you’re travelling into London a lot - nice to be able to cart around a lot of stuff with you!

Edited

Thanks that makes sense in terms of the different stroller adaptors.

I have come across the Stroller Workshop - gosh it's good to know they know more about longevity because that was what I was most worried about. Not enough people have said how long they've had the strollers for in video reviews or in written reviews.

Your knowledge has been so helpful! 😊
