Extended rear facing seat in campervan

Hello, we have a WV campervan and would like to install an extended rear facing toddler seat on the back bench seat of the campervan. We have a 3 point belt only (no Isofix). However, all the seats I've looked at require to install tethers to anchor the seat, and in "normal" cars the tethers are attached to the front seat rails. In our van there's a long gap between the front and the back seat, and I am wondering if tethering the seat to the front is feasible/safe.

If the back seat is not an option, we might try to install the toddler seat on the front passenger seat (the Be Safe stretch seems to allow this).

Does anyone know what options we have, or which model would work best for us?

Thank you!!

You need to find an ERF specialist, preferably local to you. Axkid is the most common brand they tend to stock, so I would look on Axkid's website and have a look at their stockist list and put your postcode in and see who comes up.

ERF seats can be tethered to any solid point in the vehicle, it doesn't need to be the next seat. They can also be tethered to the seat they are on. There are also a couple of seats by Joie/Graco which don't need tethering, and an Axkid seat coming out this year I think which won't need tethers (or isofix).

But you should consult a specialist as they know their stuff with what's OK to attach to and what isn't. They can also tell you whether the seat itself and the seatbelt is OK to install a car seat with.

Thank you very much for the reply. Yes I agree, we need to get in touch with a specialist who will hopefully find a solution for us to be able to fit an erf seat.
