Hi there,
I’m searching for a car seat that swivels and reclines but doesn’t need ISOFIX installation. All the ones I find need ISOFIX - please help! Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated 😊

I'm wondering if it's because a seat belt would hamper the swivel function?

Only isofix ones spin.

I have an axkid minikid in my car (belted) and my partner has an isofix spin seat in his. I much prefer the belted non-spin seat and find it easier to get mine into it due to the lower sides and it sits much lower as well.

What age of child are you looking for a car seat for?

Recline features are quite standard, but swivel tends to need the isofix.

If you could give some more info/background I can probably help with a recommendation :)

Thank you for all your help….
She’s 4 months and we are going on a road trip at the end of the month just me and her. I ideally wanted her next to me in the passenger seat (with airbags turned off obviously) as we are going a long way - even though stopping every hour or so…
but my passenger seat doesn’t have ISOFIX…
I’ll just get a reclining one instead
thank you 🙏🏼

Do you have an infant carrier? You can just belt it in, in the font seat.

I do but it’s a Nuna Arra which is only compatible with the base unfortunately 😕

Ah OK - I would look at Graco Extend R129 in that case. But you'll want to check you can see the passenger side mirror.

At 4 months it's OK for her to spend up to about 2 hours in the seat and if you keep her up slightly later than her usual nap time, you'll probably find she'll happily sleep for an hour or two. Then longish stop for a feed, change and play before going back in and then you might get away with a shorter stop before you do another long stop followed by a long stretch if you can. IME if you keep stopping and taking them out, they get cross about going back into the seat so it takes even longer. I'd try to get the longest possible stretch done first, to take advantage of the fact she won't be fed up yet, and this will be easiest if you're not distracted.

Nursery rhymes to sing along with queued up on your music thing is a good distraction too.
