Joie spin safe height limit?

We have a joie spin safe (not the i-Spin, which I know is limited to 105 cm) and the manual only gives a weight limit, which is 18 kg. My 4 yo is only just 15 kg so it feels like the seat could last him for ages yet if there really is no height limit. Can anyone confirm that my understanding is correct??

It will be outgrown once the top of the head reaches the top of the seat (if it's rear facing only) or if they reach 18kg.

It's R44 so no height limit. However it is outgrown if the child's shoulders no longer fit under the headrest in the highest position or their eyes are higher than the top of the shell.

My 6yo sat in his brother's Joie spin the other day. He is over 18kg so we didn't drive like that but I think he probably would have just about fit. I didn't move the headrest up as didn't want to lose the position but he's 115cm tall.

@BertieBotts I thought for a rear facing seat that it was outgrown when the top of the head reached the top of the seat and it was only the forward facing seat that was outgrown when the eye line reached the top of the seat. I think OPs seat is rear facing only but might be wrong

Thanks both! I confirm it is a rear facing only model but his head hasn't reached the top yet, he really is quite wee!

It's only infant carriers which are outgrown when the head reaches the top of the seat, because they are more reclined. The Joie spin (any of them including the rear facing only ones) can be used until the eyes are level, because they are more upright. It's the same for all of the EU ERF seats.
