Britax Maxway car seat

Hello! Does anyone have experience with the Britax Maxway car seat?
Is it very difficult to install and do the seatbelts get in the way at all when putting the child into / out of the car? Is it relatively easy / difficult to change between cars?

Alternatively I'm looking at the Britax Swingfix M i-size because of the spin-able isofix base, but this seat only goes up to 105cm while my little boy is just below the 91st centile in body length😣

Don't want to go above £300 but want a Swedish Plus approved seat, that's how I singled out these two options.

I don't have experience of installing it, but the seatbelt isn't in the way :) This is where it is in the seat when installed. It is a little bit higher than some of the other 25kg ERF seats.

You also have the Joie i-Spin Safe which is plus tested, 105cm limit again, and Axkid Move is also plus tested and under £300. Axkid Minikid and Besafe izi Plus both also sometimes go under £300 when on offer. These three are all up to 25kg like the Max Way.

I have the max way for my 4yo and really love it, it's easy enough to install but might take a bit until you get used to doing it but it's pretty straightforward. if your switching it between cars then I'd recommend getting an extra set of tether straps so you don't have to remove these each time and can just unclip and go. We've never had an issue with the seatbelt getting in the way and my 4yo can get herself in and out easily.

Wow thank you for the detailed reply!
Do I understand right that Axkid Move and Minikid and Besafe izi Plus are all tethered seats?

Thank you! That's really good to know. I'll see if I can find it in a specialist seller's show room, hope this will help me decide. 🙃

The previous thank you post was a reply to this. Thanks!! 😆🙏

Yes they are all tethered, so is the Max Way.

I think you'll have issues finding the max way in a showroom as it's been discontinued so hardly anybody has stock of it. Little Peas did last that I heard, they are up in Dunfermline in Scotland if any use to you.

Axkid Move should be fairly easy to find for an in person demo.
