Help please!!

I’m stuck between 2 travel systems…

nuna Mixx next generation bundle, Pipa car seat

or

Joie signature Finiti bundle, i-level recline car seat

Really torn, so looking for some realistic advice. Going to look at both in person before deciding, but wanted some honest opinions too.

any help?! thank you 🙌🏼

In case you didn't realise, the adapters on both of these are the same, so you could use either car seat with either buggy :)

Car seat to base is generally brand and model specific, but car seat (must be an infant carrier type) to pushchair is frequently universal. All the following brands use the same adapters:

Car seats:
Cybex
Maxi Cosi
Joie (except for Juva)
Britax since 2022 (older models different)
Besafe
Nuna
Avionaut
Recaro
gb

Pushchairs: If the adapters say "universal" or "Maxi Cosi" or say that they fit the Cybex car seat they will take all of the above.

Sometimes it's cheaper to get a bundle, sometimes it's cheaper to choose your car seat separately and buy separately.

Definitely look at the two models in person and if possible try them out in your car. Some cars have very sloped seats and this can cause car seats to be too inclined especially on an isofix base. You can check the angle, with all newborn inserts in, using an angle measurer in your phone. Should ideally be between 30-40 degrees for a newborn (from flat) however it is allowed to be up to 45 degrees. Over 45 degrees is too steep.

Also try fitting with belt and lifting the car seat and adjusting the straps. They often have a demo weighted baby doll which is useful. Another thing to compare is the smallest vs largest harness height.

Being able to use the base with a toddler seat is a bit of a false economy. It doesn't really matter if you can do this or not. It's usually more cost effective to buy a separate toddler seat.

I don't have experience of these specific seats but the above is some general advice for infant seat choice :)
