Rear facing seat for small car

Does anyone have any recommendations for a rear facing car seat for a 1 year old that will fit comfortably in a small car? We have a Skoda Fabia and there's not a huge amount of room in the backseat.

I was interested in the Joie 360 and although the specification on the Joie website says it will fit it seems like it might mean the front passenger has very limited leg room. I think I would like a seat that will be suitable up to at least 4 years. Any recommendations/advice would be gratefully received!

The ones that go up to 25kg actually take up less room, because they don't have the isofix base and they sit more upright. e.g. Britax Max Way, Avionaut Sky, Axkid Minikid.

The Joie 360 is the most compact of the isofix/spinning seats if that's a feature that you want. It is worth bearing in mind although they say "up to age 4" it's based on an average sized 4yo - if your child is tall for their age they will outgrow sooner. In that case, the 25kg seats as mentioned above are definitely worth looking at.

Best thing to do in any case is see if you can find a local retailer - I would look for Axkid retailers - and compare the fit of different seats in your car and the front seat space.

This is an article with a link to album of rear facing seats in small cars, it's definitely doable :)

Good to know it’s possible! Sounds like we should find a retailer where we can try a few different options in our car so we’ll do that rather than order online.
