Need to fit 3 car seats in a corsa

Hi, would be grateful for any advice/help...

I have a 66 plate corsa , I have a nearly 5 year old, 2.5 year old and due soon with baby no 3.

Eldest is in a britax high back booster, middle in a joie bold isofix and baby will be in a maxi cosi pebble and I do have the isofix base for this but can use the seat belt if I have too!

I either need to fit 3 seats in the back or make more room for an adult to sit in the back and the eldest go in the front. Anyone managed to figure out a way?

Thankyou!!

The only way I can think of would be to upgrade your car.
I don't think I could even get 3 car seats in the back of my Focus.
Hope #3 arrives safely.

Never going to happen OP (ex Corsa owner here).

You need a new (or second) car, sorry!

I think you also need to read the car seat manual as it tells you where in a car (particular make and model) the seat can be fitted.
Recently bought a new car seat and the manual specifically states this seat can't be placed in the middle of the back seat, even though technically it would be possible. I assume it's not as secure in the middle, especially in a corsa as it's not a "full" seat in the middle.
Honestly I think you might need a seven seater.

No, sorry! You need a bigger car. Preferably one with three separate seats across the back which most MPVs have e.g. Citroen C4 Picasso, Ford S-max.

I can just about manage 3 across in a mondeo and one of those is just a booster, no hope in a corsa, unless you have one in the front all the time.
Even 2 children and 1 adult is a squeeze in my car to be honest!

Bigger car needed for 3 in the back but otherwise your infant carrier rear facing (obviously) on passenger seat with airbags off and secured with seatbelt would likely work. However, quite sure that car seat in front is not the safest set up, but I have done it myself on occasion. Good luck with your new arrival Smile

Agree with the not a chance with those ages I'm afraid. I have narrow hips and could just fit between 2 DC rear facing in our Subaru estate (narrow) but can't now one is front facing because I need space for my shoulders which the FF seats don't allow. The only likely option would be something like a Multimax Seat replacement for your back seat but it would probably be more expensive than replacing the car with something bigger and wider...

You'll struggle because the middle seat is not a full sized seat. However you could try this:

The Joie Bold is massive. You could probably swap that one for a rear facing 25kg seat (assuming you need it for the 25kg capacity) and place either on the back one side or in the front. The good thing about these is as they are belt fitted and tethered there is some flexibility with how far forward you fit it which can get you some space.

Then you could see if there is space to squeeze an adult in between that and the high backed booster. (It is better to have a rear facing child in the front, with airbag off). If not, try between that and the Pebble. If still no luck, get a Bubble Bum and put that in the middle for the 5yo. It's not ideal, but it's much narrower than any other car seat.

If that doesn't fit or you are not happy with the seats you'd need to change to then you might be completely out of luck.

If it has to be a forward facing 25kg one, Cozy n Safe Hudson seems to be the narrowest.
