Egg car seat

Hello, please help! I've not got a clue where to start with moving to bigger car seats.

My wee one is nearly too big for his Egg car seat. We have the egg travel system of buggy, pram, car seat, wheels and accessories. Does anyone know if Egg do a bigger sized car seat or do I need to change brands? If I do need
To change brands, will any others fit the egg wheels so I can keep using them (I currently use adaptors to fit the car seat to the wheels so thought maybe I just need to change adaptors?) also, I have the iso fix base, do most car seats fit this? I have a 3 door car so can't get the ones that turn. Will I now need to take my baby out of the car seat and into the pram/buggy rather than be able to keep him in the car seat?

Thanks so much

What age is your baby?
Googling suggests it's suitable up to 13kg or 80cm length and can last up to 15 months
A bigger car seat will be unlikely to be able to be used on the wheel chassis and I doubt they will fit the isofix base either

He is 18 weeks and just over 14 lbs but is long which is why I think he won't have long left in it. Thanks for your help Smile

There is no way he has grown out of it at 18 weeks. He is only too long for it if his head comes over the headrest. It's OK for legs to be over the footrest.

How would this work when the chair is rear facing? Thanks

The legs go to the sides or they bend them. You get extended rear facing seats that last until age 4 and they will have much longer legs

When they get a bit bigger you can remove the newborn padding inserts and it suddenly seems a lot more spacious! Sorry if you’ve already done that.

No chance he has grown out of it at that age and size. My daughter was 99th centile (and still is) and she fit in her first stage car seat until she was 7 months old. We then moved to a rear facing joie all stages.

Their legs just either get put over the side or bent up when rear facing.

When your child has outgrown the seat you won't find a next stage to fit on the pram they will need to be lifted into the pushchair.

Here is a random Google image of much older children still rear facing so you can see about the legs.

Pull him down in it so his nappy is right against the buckle and you'll get loads more space. The buckle wants to sit quite low against the nappy, almost like they're sat half on top of it.

That's great thanks very much
