Does this car seat exist?

I've been using the Be Safe infant carrier for my 5mo son but he's enormous and I'm struggling to carry him from the house out to the car in it. No driveway so can't always be parked outside our door. The height/weight limit is 75cm/13kg. He's currently around 70cm/9kg and if he follows his centile line he'll have outgrown the seat in height by the time he's 8 months. My daughter who just turned 2 is in a Maxi Cosi swivel Mica seat which is great and I sometimes use it for my son if it's just him in the car. I know I just complained about carrying him in the current one, but being able to set him down in it is actually a plus point as DD needs helped down our front steps which go straight onto the pavement and managing that plus carrying the baby and a bag is a challenge without letting go of her hand and I don't quite trust her not to run away.

So my question: is there a swivel seat that will do him up til 4ish that you can also lift out as a carrier for the short term? DD is a titch and he's likely to overtake her in weight pretty soon so expecting her Mica will last her beyond 4 so it's not a case of finding something to do until she moves up to the next one if that makes sense!

Yes there is, but I expect he'll be too big for it already - Recaro Zero 1 elite / Salia elite. The infant carry part is only up to 75cm/10kg I think.

Or you can get modular systems like the new Maxi Cosi 360 family - that's a Pebble infant seat + pearl toddler seat that go into a rotating base.

However both systems are quite expensive given you already have the Mica and infant carrier. Also, as your son is big for his age, any 105cm/rotating type seat is likely to be outgrown fairly early anyway, so long term he'll want something like Britax Max Way/Axkid Minikid (if you want to do extended rear facing) or Joie Bold (if you don't).

So what I'd actually do is buy one of these larger capacity seats now and move DD into it temporarily until he is either old enough to climb in (making the spin redundant) or has overtaken her in weight or for whatever reason you want to swap them back.

Just checked on the growth chart and if he continues on his current line he'll have outgrown all the rotating seats by around 3 years old, possibly slightly before. They all have very similar capacity due to the weight and size of them.

You you use a wrap carrier for him and leave car seat in car?

Thanks @BertieBotts! I'm beginning to think my problem is getting out the door with 2 rather than anything a car seat can solve 😅

I have same door problem, albeit on a farm. Busy yard.

So I put plain black reins on toddler over whatever she is wearing, loop strap round my wrist. Carry baby, get everyone out door, down steps, out gate X two, across yard. I then have enough lead on the strap to fasten baby in while preventing her taking off. Then i strap her in and unclick reins and leave by her feet. Repeat at other end, reins in, her out, baby out and into buggy or whatever.

I also have a bouncer placed by the door to put baby in as soon as we get back to make it easier to get toddler coat and shoes etc off.

You can get larger capacity infant carriers. Maxi Cosi Cabriofix or Joie Juva are both fairly light, inexpensive, but roomy. That might get you past the hump where DD is more reliable?

Or a double buggy to get to the car.
