How to make the Maxi Cosy Pebble Plus front facing?

Hi all,

My daughter is now 14.5 months and ready to go front facing in the car. However, I can’t for the life of me figure out how to get the seat fixed on isofix when it’s front facing.

I’ve watched tonnes of videos and they never get to the front facing bit!

Any advice - it’s driving me mad!

Is it not safer to.leave it rear facing at her age?

Plus I don't think that car seat goes in forward facing. If its an infant carrier it stays rear facing

Pebbble Plus is an infant seat and is only rear facing.

It’s an infant carrier, I don’t think you can use it forward facing??

You need a 2way pearl toddler seat now.

Paddingtonsmarmlade · 31/05/2021 08:02

That's because it's not a seat that can forward face. It's an infant seat. The isofix base you can probably use with the next size seat and fit that one both ways.

Plus it's much safer to rear face

Pebble plus doesn't go forward facing. Maxi cosi Pearl does. However it's safer to be rear facing. Have a little research into rear facing. My little one is 2 and in the maxi cosi pearl smart. Very comfortable and will be rear facing for as long as we can x

The pebble plus is an infant carrier and none of these can forward face. You need the next stage seat and it’s much safer to keep her rear facing. If the base is one of the i-size seats then you can keep her rear facing and keep the same base, though the majority of next stage seats don’t have bases unless a modular seat. As she’s only outgrowing the pebble plus at 15 months I assume she’s quite petite for her age? As the height limit is 75cm with it being an i-size seat even though she may still fit in the shell.

Here’s a link to the seats that can be compatible with your base if you use this chart www.maxi-cosi.co.uk/c/base-compatibility

If she’s above the 50th centile and you want to rear face as long as you want it’d be best to get a 25kg seat. These usually can work out much cheaper than the modular seats overall as the bases tend to be more expensive and if you had a non modular set (eg maxi Cosi easy fix and cabriofix is just under £200 while the maxi Cosi 360 base is £200 on its own), so when you factor in the cost the 25kg seats (eg axkid move/britax max way) work out better financially and in the long run.

OP wants to forward face now, so why would she buy a 25kg rear facing seat?
