Kiddy ones are great we had the Guardian one but that was a while ago.

Cybex is great, soft seat and very comfortable, but wide and would only fit comfortably in larger car.

How old is your DC? Joie Trillo is a good one and reasonably priced. Britax do well in terms of safety. Any one of them so as long as it’s from a reputable brand (so avoid Halfords, Star Wars and Disney style) then it should be OK

BertieBotts · 28/06/2020 13:18

Britax, Cybex, Diono, Recaro, Besafe are the best rated ones for safety :)

Kiddy were great too but they have gone out of business :(

Rodifix maxi cosi

Thanks everyone, DS is 4 in 5 weeks, I wanted to wait until after he was 4 for the high backed booster but he's very tall and heavy for his age so now he's too heavy for his car seat.

Our maxi cosi ones were great

Ah, would you prefer to keep him in a harnessed seat for a couple more years? You can get forward facing ones (Joie Bold, Cozy n Safe Excalibur) or rear facing ones (Britax Max Way, Axkid Minikid) just a couple of examples of each. The FF ones usually transform into a booster seat for later.

BertieBotts · 28/06/2020 15:21

All those I mentioned go up to 25kg in weight on the harness, and up to about 125cm in height, so should last him a while. Then the ones which convert to boosters should go up to the full 150cm.
