Car seat for 15 month old

Hi, I’m about to buy a Skoda Citigo and will need a car seat for my 15 month old daughter. She is 98th centile for height so very long. I would like her to rear face for as long as we can manage but don’t really know where to begin with narrowing down the selection of seats.

Just realised I didn’t actually ask a question! If anyone has any recommendations for rear facing seats for small cars but for tall children that would be amazing! Thank you x

We chose the Joie 360 as it was the longest seat shell for a rear facing swivel seat.

Thank you! I’ll take a look at it. Have you been happy with it?

Just came into say exactly the same @Tigerwhocamefortea it’s brilliant and didn’t realise how good it was until we bought a non swivel one for DH car it’s a nightmare in comparison!

Axkid minikid. Rear faces to 25kg. Extra side impact protection. Swedish plus tested. You'll struggle to find a safer seat. Should last to 6+ years of rear facing.

For a tall child you really would be better getting a 25kg seat rather than an 18kg seat like the Joie 360. Also, the 25kg seats are a lot more compact than many of the 18kg seats so will be a better fit for a small car.

The Axkid Minikid or Axkid Move would be a good choice. Another other option would be a Britax Two Way Elite but this can be more difficult to install because of the moulded headrests in the CitiGo.

Thank you so much. I’ll definitely look at those. Are any of these better or worse in terms of how much legroom they leave in the front seat?

The Axkids and Britax TWE are seatbelt fitted so they can be fitted much more compactly than isofix seats which tend to be much more bulky.

We've fitted both the Minikid and the Britax TWE in our Fiesta and there's plenty of room in the front. I imagine the CitiGo is smaller so it will be tighter but I do think you'll get the most amount of room for everyone with a belt fitted seat.

Thanks again, that’s really helpful Smile
