We're making plans to test and review child car seats/booster seats and we'd love to know which ones you recommend.

If you've used and loved a child car seat in the past two years we want to hear about it. Tell us the make and model of the seat you rate, and why you'd recommend it to others.

As well as listening to your recommendations, we'll be speaking to independent experts and studying a variety of crash safety test results before putting together a shortlist of 15 car seats to test with a real family.

This shortlist of car seats will represent the highest performing and best value products on the market. All the car seats we test will meet (or exceed) government safety guidelines, by having one family test all the seats we’ll get a clearer idea of with the differences between each car seat and how they fit into family life.

Help us find the best products to test by sharing your car seat recommendations below

Thanks!

Britax Romer (the one that spins around)

We bought the Britax Romer Kidfix II last year and I really like it. It's for ages 4-12 and it's an isofix which you don't usually find.

My 5 year old is really comfortable in and it had good safety reviews. A few of her friends have commented that she is still in a baby seat though 🙄 but we do a lot of motorway driving to see family so I like that she is nice and secure.

My 10 year old is out of car seats now as he is so tall (156cm) but he had a Kiddie Guradian Pro which we also loved.

Can I ask - the rotating Joie and britax , I take it these are not great for newborns? As you have to wake your child up to lift them in and out of the seat & car...

It depends on the newborn. DS1 would have gone straight back to sleep, DS2 would have woken up. I found it useful to have an infant carrier seat as well, but you can use the dual fix and the Joie 360 for newborns, as they both have quite a good recline.
