Car seat which can be packed away easily when not in use

Any recommendations for a group 2/3 car seat which can easily be kept in storage without taking up too much space?

I don’t drive but probably will get a car eventually. In the mean time, I need a car seat for my four year old which can be used when he is in my mothers car. It would have to be kept in my tiny flat though, and there is no storage space so the seat would have to be able to be packed away quite small. Eventually I would be using it in my own car hopefully.

We have this one as a spare - it was from Halfords but I don't think they stock any more, only bought it last year and it folds into a bag. Found this on eBay, but it's out of stock, not sure if you could find anywhere else.

Or there’s a Peg Perego one that folds up - Flex something I think it’s called

Bubble Bum or mifold booster would be the smallest, but a compromise on safety as no side impact protection.

Otherwise I don't think that a standard high backed booster takes up that much room? Something like the Britax Adventure or a Joie one. The Maxi Cosi Rodi comes apart into two parts, so might be easier to store.

Thanks for the suggestions! Yes, I could keep it at my mums but I’d like to keep it at mine as occasionally DHs parents take DS out, and their car seat is really old so I’d like to have mine to hand when needed.

I read in a comment somewhere that the hifold by mifold only meets minimum safety standards for the uk, in case anyone was thinking of getting it. I had a look and it’s on my maybe list, but I’d prefer something a bit safer if possible.

In that case the Rodi would probably be a good bet, as it gets good safety ratings, but is still able to come apart for storage.
