Hello, reading online it looks like the britax prince 1 stage 1 car seat is for forward position use, is that correct?
I would prefer for her to sit rear facing. Can I use it rear facing?

No. No and no.

No, it can only be used front facing.

Also the britax prince is a very old design.

It's still a good seat though, I saw it for sale for £49.99 somewhere the other day, which puts it almost in the same price bracket as the cheap and nasty Nania etc seats you can buy from supermarkets - a decent seat for a really good price.

It's approved for use on aeroplanes, because it can be fitted with just a lap belt. I know all modern cars have a 3 point belt in the middle of the back seat now, but it would also be useful for someone who did only have a lap belt if their car was an old one.

I wouldn't want it as my main seat because you can't adjust the recline once it's fitted in the car (and because it's not rear facing either!) but my mum has one from 2006 that has been great for all the grandchildren over the years. I only learned about ERF with my third child, but my older two children used the Prince and it was fine.
