Is there something Group 0/1 that rear faces or forward faces?

DD is 7 months old and uses a MaxiCosi pebble, secured with a seatbelt because we have underfloor storage boxes that meant none of the bases fit. She really doesn't seem to like the car seat (cries a lot) and her head flops forward when she sleeps. She's 98th centile for height and weight.

We don't use the Pebble on the pushchair, so we might as well get the next car seat now in the hope she'll be comfier if we recline it. I'd like ERF but would also like the option of turning it forward facing when she's bigger in case she's happier like that. Her 3yo brother forward faces in his seat.

Are there any Group 0/1 seats that would suit a 7mo rear facing that I could have the option of turning around later, or leaving as ERF?

Thanks!

Britax dualfix, cybex sirona and hauck varioguard all fulfil your brief, as does the joie stages.

I have a Maxi Cosi 'convertible' seat that you can turn around once they hit a certain weight. Not sure what the model name is (and it's a few years old, used to be DS2's), just wanted to tell you yes there is such a thing, and probably best to go to mothercare/halfords/ somewhere they stock lots of seats and have a look at them.
Side note, please RF for as long as possible. Especially with big children this is so important, since their head is even bigger/heavier and yet their neck muscles are still weak, making the risk for internal decapitation even bigger.

Britax First Class and Maxi Cosi Opal rear face to 13kgs, then you HAVE to turn them to face forward for 13-18kgs.

In addition to the ERF seats mentioned by katandkits there is also the Britax Multi Tech II that can be rear or forward facing. It's fitted with the seatbelt, so it can be used rear facing right up to 25kgs, but you can use it forward facing from 9kgs if you really want to (the harness has to be removed after 18kgs if forward facing). It can then be a high backed booster, up to a certain weight (it won't last right up to 135cm/12 years old because it's quite a heavy seat, so there is a limit on the weight of the child that is lower than for a regular Group 2-3 high backed booster).

Also BeSafe make a Combi seat.

You'll probably find that your younger child will be happy to sit rear facing, because if they have an older sibling who is forward facing they can interact with each other really easily, much better than if they were both forward facing.

Don't bother with Halfords if you want any sensible advice about car seats. They will probably look at you like you have two heads if you tell them you want a child seat that will allow a toddler to sit rear facing!

Thanks all. Cybex Sirona looks good and apparently you can get a leg extender to the floor of the store compartment so that's good. Is it massive though? Does it stop you putting the seat back in the front much?
